Brief intro to Pay-Per-Click (PPC):
For your benefit, I will introduce you to simple things you can do if you are in a hurry to quickly boost your site while you are putting your social network contents together.
Pay-Per-Click (PPC) or any other form of advertising is not that of what I intend to teach in this book. But I mentioned earlier that if you are in a hurry to direct traffic to your site, you should opt for PPC instead of abusing social media and social networking sites. For this reason, I will briefly mention what PPC is and why they are useful.
Remember, they are not cheap, and you can shoot your self in the foot if you do it without proper training of how it works. This search engine sub-chapter on PPC is not meant to train you; it is just an eye opener.

Search engine traffic is called the ‘proactive search’ because somebody specifically keys in something in the search engine. Most people that surf the internet are looking for something and they want it NOW – immediate gratification kind of mode.
Most people searching are considered qualified potential visitors to your site if their keyword matches your ad.
You can set up ads, as many as you want, based on what searchers are typing in and your main keywords. The process of gathering keywords can be stressful if you want to do it manually.
You can buy software like ‘Keyword Elite’ to get the keywords to gather your keywords and snoop into your competitors’ advertisements. Search for Keyword Elite free PDF case study online to help understand the benefits.

Google rewards you for relevancy when they show your ad, and you have a high click means your ad matches their keywords. Once you have a high click through rate (CTR) you pay less for ads. This is the fastest way to get traffic to your site with paid advertisement.
If you can set up an ad that people, click on more often, you get more clicks at low price on Google – cheaper clicks means more traffic for you. Google amongst other search engines caters for people who are more sophisticated, more computer savvy and who are not afraid to buy something online.
Because they know their kind of clientele ‘sophisticated,’ they are also committed to given exactly what their high-end customers expect from them and will penalize anybody that is trying to jeopardize their commitment or ruin their relationship with their loyal die-hard fan.
Google and other search engines want you to keep it real, the way to do that is through great content you add to the internet. Search engine’s job is to deliver good and relevant content to their unique searchers. Their loyalty is to the web users not you as a marketer or website owner.
Paid advertising, just like any other way of generating traffic to your site, does not guarantee your conversion. You could have a high CTR with Google and get lots of people to visit your site, it means nothing if you cannot get them to opt-in to your form or buy your product.
