Promote your website offline:
Probably after you have read about all the online ways to build organic traffic to your site, you are wondering why you should promote it offline as well.
The answer is simple – because you should not miss your chance to.
There are many people who still do not use the Net on a daily basis and if you want to reach them, offline methods work for them best.
Additionally, when there are so many sites, if you want your blog or site to be noticed, you should promote it in any way you can.
While offline promotion of online business is creating a lot of controversial debate like:
Offline advertising may not be effective. A lot of money and effort should not be wasted on offline advertising.
Most people rarely check websites that are advertised in local magazines or newspaper.
I still think you should promote your business both online and offline.
Depending on your particular skills, experience and niche, the opportunity offline is just as exciting as online.
For example, if your niche market is in work-from-home- or home-based business, thinking outside of the internet box would be the way to approach your new clientele.
Tens of millions of people could be starting simple, highly profitable, time-efficient-and-flexible home-based business and wish they were self employed or quit their 9 to 5 job but don’t know how to go about it.
Many of these people don’t even realize what they want to do or could do.
Introducing such people to a serious, profitable home-based business would be an eye-opener for them.
You probably know many people who could/should start their own home-based business, one that really works. And you could probably find hundreds more if you just put in a little bit of effort.
If your niche market is in hosting, work at home, hard goods, network marketing or making money of some kinds. You should realize there are many offline local businesses who would never find your online promotional efforts because they simply are not looking for them.
Invest a little percentage of your advertising budget offline and track your result to see if it is worth your effort – you will never know until you’ve tested it out.
This will help you to stick to what works and stay away from what does not work.
You would have an edge promoting your online presence to them and introduce them to the way of making additional money online.
You could do this with your product or your affiliate link – the most important thing is that you get paid for your effort.
I have included many ways to promote your site offline; it could be overwhelming trying to implement everything at once. Try a couple of them that you are most comfortable with, and you may try others as time and/or budget permits.
Offline promotion of your site can include many activities: –
- The most straightforward way to tell your customers about the existence of your site is by printing the URL of your site on your company papers, stickers, and all other company documents. Also print your URL on FREE gifts such as pens, pencils, T-shirts, etc.
- Submit an article to local newspaper and trade magazines.
- Purchase paid advertisements on radio, TV, magazine ads, newspaper.
- Buy genuine list and send post cards with your product summary and 800# as contact along with your URL in the ‘for more information’ section and mail them to individuals and local business – local post office are willing to help small businesses check them out to see what they can offer you.
- Print your URL at the back of your car and/or license plate.
- Use word to create ad and include detachable information at the button which will include your URL and or contact information. Submit this to local businesses.
- Get stationery with your product name on it for mail correspondence.
- Create coupons or buy ready made from your local Officemax and place them in sales letters.
- Get business cards with the product information and your URL – you can get 1000 for less than $20 in your local Officemax.
- Offer to speak at your niche industry event as an authority in your field or expert. You should make sure your name and credential are included in their bulletin and agenda as ‘the author of your e-book.’
- Create a joint marketing venture. Team up with someone who has a complementary product and agree to cross promote each other’s product.
- This will give you great exposure and customers will win by enjoying both products.
- Send CDs with PowerPoint presentation or your basic information as a viral brochure that will be passed from one person to another. Encourage the listener to pass it forward to someone who may benefit from it.
- If you manufacture tangible goods, writing the URL on their packages is simply mandatory. Your company vehicles are one more place where you can put the URL of your site.
Of course, if you are really creative, there are many more ideas and ways of creating offline attention to your online business that you can come up with on your own, some of which might sound slightly silly to your friends, all you have to do is try it out and see if it will work for you.
