It is a fact that any website that is not receiving enough targeted traffic is as good as not existing because it is not visible to the world and the owner may loose the opportunity to showcase all their efforts – such website does not have the slightest opportunity to continue and may be lost in the Web ocean gathering dust.

Now, I want you to think about someone who builds their site with the intention of making money either as a part-time or full time income – Someone who has their hopes and dreams wraps around the success of their website or blog.

I hope you can see the very essence of TRAFFIC and how essential it is for a website to be alive, active
and kicking, it must have a constant traffic from multiple sources.

Before we start with traffic sources, let talk a little bit more about why you need traffic.

One of the major reasons why you need traffic is to build your list and increase in the number of people that visits your websites means more sales opportunities  primary purpose is list building.

Let me ask you this question; have you heard the phrase The Money is in The List?

I’m assuming you’re familiar with the phrase…

What this phrase is trying to say is, for you to be successful online or operate as a successful business, you must have a list of people that know you, trust you and like you enough to open their wallet and buy something from you. This may sound simple, but it is one of the most challenging things to do online especially with so many hype online that make visitors to be more skeptical of every marketer’s intention.

If you’re new to internet marketing, you must be asking yourself – how can I get my list if visitors are so skeptical?. The first step to building your list is to have constant source of pre-sold organic traffic to your website.

Way #1 ? You can buy traffic

You can buy traffic through paid advertisements like Pay-Per-Click, Ezines and paid directories. Buying traffic is known as the fastest way to generate traffic but will cost you tons of money.

Whether the traffic you’re generating through this way is targeted or not is a different matter and a subject for another day. Your conversion rate will help you to determine if the money you’re spending actually justifies the result you’re getting.

Downside to this method is the fact that you must know what you’re doing because you can lose money faster than you can pronounce M-O-N-E-Y if you don’t know what you’re doing.

**Important note: before you go through this route, you should know what you’re doing first.

Way #2 ? You can Borrow Traffic

You can Borrow traffic through Joint Ventures (JV).

While this type of traffic may not cost you out of pocket cash, it will still cost you because your JV partners are not driving traffic to your site for free. They expect you to reciprocate the favor when they need your help as well.

JV is a good practice, after all, one good turn deserves another.

But, the next way is even better?

Way #3 ? You can Build Traffic

You can build traffic through writing articles, writing reviews, participating in Social Media sites, creating blogs and forums.

The good thing about building traffic organically is that you get targeted traffic to your website without emptying your bank account running ads and this is the way you want to go.

Luckily, web 2.0 methods of operating online have given you the opportunity to participate in blogs, forums, social media and networking sites for as long as you have the WILL and TIME.

The logical thing for you to do is to embrace building traffic to your website the organic way so that you can reach your bottom-line faster and sooner than you can imagine.
